Required Professional Skill Qualifications

The following specific professional skills and experiences are required for the successful candidate for this position:

• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff in both oral and written form.

• Ability to communicate effectively with managerial and line staff in both oral and written form.

• Familiarity with IV&V services and how these services collaborate to ensure successful project outcomes.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks with aggressive timelines.

• Skilled using Microsoft Office productivity tools to produce and edit test management deliverables.

• Proven experience maintaining electronic and hard copy records of the results of all test management activities.

Preferred Qualifications:

The following specific skills and experiences are preferred for the successful candidate for this position:

BA/BS in Computer Science or Computer/Management Information Systems with coursework specific to systems test methods and standards; or 4 years of equivalent progressively responsible work experience with emphasis on test methods, planning, execution, and problem resolution.

Experience with testing and test management factors related to the following:

• Security for databases containing personal information and accessible on the Internet.

• Availability, backup, recovery, and data integrity for 24/7 systems.

• Performance of very large databases and high volume online systems.

• Validating test outcomes and reporting test progress and statistics.

• Testing Web applications and Windows applications.

• Data and network security, and data management/data integrity for confidential and sensitive data.

• Relational databases (e.g., SQL server).

Experience with large scale government IT projects, especially those involving counties, local agencies or locally sited field operations.

Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 and Microsoft .NET application development and testing.
