The new features of Microsoft Office 365 continue to impress us at Kiefer.
We’ve identified a wide range of features and capabilities that we’ve begun to leverage
As many of our clients are just starting to leverage email and SharePoint in Office 365, there are a number of new features that we are eager to introduce to our customers.
Here are three features of Office 365 that you may have not realized you had or that you may want to learn more about.
Planner
At Kiefer, we have been playing around with Planner for the last three weeks. This Kanban style scheduling system is helping us better organize and manage marketing activities, events and our blog schedule. We use it in conjunction with Microsoft Project and SharePoint and are impressed with the simplicity it offers. Planner is a great way to create a simple view of all activities in the pipeline and prioritize them. We are using Planner to track the progress of our marketing projects and recognizing who is working on what.

Power BI
Power BI for Office 365 has the potential to provide Office 365 users with a powerful platform to deliver self-service BI solutions to everyday business users natively within an environment in which they’re already familiar – Excel and enabling collaboration and accessibility by putting BI in the cloud through Office 365.
We’ve been using Microsoft Excel to create BI reports with features like PowerPivot and Power View. Not only will Office 365 customers be able to easily publish data sets and models to share with their colleagues, but their data will be accessible from virtually anywhere – on their desktop at work, over the Web at home, and on their mobile device while traveling.
We like what we’ve seen with Power BI are excited to put it through the paces.

Office 365 Video
Office 365 Video allows you to save your videos without having to worry about the cost associated with storing the content. We’ve been recording our webinars and we were looking for a better way to archive this video content so it’s easily indexed and searchable. Office 365 Video was a great fit for us because we didn’t have to buy additional storage and we were able to keep video in the Office 365 environment!

Many of our clients are still just scratching the surface when it comes to maximizing their investment in Office 365. Alternatively, some of our customers are just starting to consider making the investment in Office 365. Wherever you may land as it relates to adoption and utilization, Kiefer is eager to support you in your efforts. We have worked with Microsoft to offer Office 365 adoption services to get our clients up and running in Office 365. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you’d like to learn more about any of these or any other offerings in Office 365. Contact Kiefer at [email protected] for more information.
