A Kiefer Associate Consultant assists with using industry-leading technologies to provide a variety of customer-facing deliverables in the public and private sector.  A Kiefer Associate Consultant focusses on familiarizing oneself with Kiefer internal processes and technologies while developing advanced customer relationship and professional business skills.  Associate Consultants assist customers and Kiefer team members alike to realize the value of Kiefer Consulting. 

Associate Consultant Tasks 

  • Learn new technologies by engaging with other consultants, clients and self-directed training 
  • Participate in Quality Assurance and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of SharePoint rollouts  
  • Assist with customizing and configuring SharePoint 
  • Assist with building and deploying workflows 
  • Assist with defining information architecture and taxonomies 
  • Assist Kiefer Sales team with documenting/reviewing proposals 
  • Develop training material 
  • Conduct customer training sessions 
  • Learn the basics of software analysis and design, including requirements traceability through all phases of the project lifecycle 
  • Learn the role of a Consultant 
  • Understand Kiefer’s service offerings to the extent you can explain them to a customer 
  • Build documentation on projects 
  • Taking notes during client meetings and translate them into business requirements 
  • Research and learn Kiefer core technology competencies 
  • Work with Consultants and Senior Consultants to develop skills and gain experience 
  • Participate in technical presentations to internal staff and clients

Accumulation 

  • Survey Consultants and ask a consultant to serve as a mentor 
  • Collect and develop expertise while working on tasks supporting customers and mentor 
  • Develop and execute a training plan, corporate goals and objectives plan and career plan 

Training and Certifications 

  • 4 Year Degree: Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Administration or equivalent work experience desired. 
  • Work experience in IT is desired 
  • Special interest in IT and Project Management related work.
