Challenge:
South Tahoe Public Utility District (The District) partnered with Kiefer Consulting for services related to the Design and Development Services for Water Loss Reporting Tools RFP. The core objective of the project was to modernize disparate and manual water loss reporting processes with a robust, scalable and centralized data warehouse, and an accompanying automated Power BI reporting solution.
Action:
Kiefer designed and implemented a secure, scalable data warehouse platform integrating onpremise and cloud systems such as Xylem Data Lake, AVEVA Historian, Tyler New World ERP, and other manual reporting methods into a single source of truth. Automated ETL pipelines, normalized data models, and built-in data quality controls enabled reliable, repeatable reporting aligned with evolving California regulations.
